Y N Sharma, CEO of Chimes Aviation Academy, addressed the Aviation India and Subcontinent Summit on June 12-13, 2024. The summit focused on India's aviation growth and global aspirations.

‍Mr. Sharma highlighted the fast growth of the Indian aviation sector, emphasizing the rising demand for qualified pilots. “We believe that India has to createthe infrastructure required to produce the pilots Indian airlines need. and we are on a mission to build teams and facilities that meet and even surpass the expectations of airlines in India and around the world,” he remarked. “The demand for pilots will only increase in the coming years, and the supply must advance at an even greater pace, considering the preexisting gap between the demand and supply for pilots in India.”

He elaborated on the academy’s efforts to meet this demand through various initiatives, including collaborations with leading airlines such as IndiGo for the Cadet Pilot Program, to ensure training programs are aligned with industry needs, incorporating the latest technology and methodologies to enhance pilot training, and ensuring that safety remains paramount.

“I firmly believe that there is enough space for everyone in the Indian flying training space to grow without stepping on each other’s toes, as the gap in supply is huge and seems to be set to widen even further with the massive orders placed by major carriers in India.”

Chimes Aviation Academy is committed to leading the future of pilot training with innovation and excellence.
